Pileated Woodpecker

Description: pen and watercolor of pileated woodpecker. This woodpecker is HUGE at about the size of a crow. This hot red-head is a beauty. They hunt for carpenter ants in dead trees (a lovely service to have less carpenter ants - also HUGE.) The holes that they create are later used by other critters as homes… awe!
